Prices for risers for the purpose of wall hanging artwork:
Even though all the risers/wall art are the exact same size, which is: 36" (H) x 7.25" (W) x .5" (D), and the materials used are all the same with every project we do, the prices do vary based on the complexity of the details in the artwork. We create and cut out all of the stencils used for each riser by hand. Sometimes, the artwork is so complex that we have to draw parts of it without using stencils, i.e. The Golden Gate Bridge. We then have to draw the design directly onto the wood. After that, some risers may only take us a day or two to paint, while some may take 3 to 4 days, and some even a week or more to complete. We always stay in touch with clients during the process to let them know where we are in the project so they know when to expect it.
